Separation processes

The basis of our processing knowledge goes back to the early beginning of MTI, which actually stands for “Mineral Technology Institute”. The involvement at that time with IHC Merwede centred on mineral processing equipment supplies for tin and gold mining, and led to an accumulation of expertise in this field.     

In dredge mining projects, both on land and in marine applications, the dredger is often directly connected with the treatment plant. Both systems influence each other significantly in operational behaviour, often defined as the “game of capacities”. Based on our knowledge on dredging and separation processes, we have also accumulated specific expertise on the interaction between dredging and separation equipment. This allows us to render specific services in this field.
